Doc Rogers is in trouble. He watched five men burn to death inside a humvee and there was nothing he could do to help them. And he is hopelessly addicted to morphine. When his crew, the advisors of 4th Kandak, 1st Brigade convoy half way across the country to have lunch at Camp Cobra- which boasts a chow hall staffed by the defense contractor KBR- Doc begins to break down. The Afghan National Army soldiers they have been tasked with training are not to be trusted. It’s widely believed that they were implicit in the IED strike that burned the five soldiers alive in their humvee.
