A graduate of Radcliffe College, Goodman returned to Harvard University as a Nieman Fellow and a Shorenstein Fellow. She has written eight books, including Close to Home and the New York Times bestseller I Know Just What You Mean, co-authored with Patricia O’Brien. She co-founded The Conversation Project, a public engagement campaign to ensure that end-of-life wishes would be expressed and respected.
