McCollum—also the host of the Zone 7 podcast that played a role in revitalizing the search into Melissa’s murder—shares with A&E Crime + Investigation why this case intrigued her from the beginning, how she communicated with Patton up until his death in 2024 and how Christopher Wolfenbarger’s August 2025 trial, where a jury found him not guilty of all charges, was a “miscarriage of justice.”
