In an interview with PEOPLE, writer Cliff Dorfman, whose credits include Entourage and Warrior, recalls how he was told of his unwitting participation in Dr. Peter Neubauer’s controversial “nature vs. nurture” study of separated children. The Jewish Board of Family and Children’s Services, which oversees the study’s records, is refuting that account, but Dorfman is supported by a witness.
His journey of self-discovery was inspired in part by triplet brothers in Neubauer’s study — and the twists and turns are part of his debut novel, Crime Family.
