Just One More Day: A Gift From My Son

By

An important template for learning how to heal from the loss of a loved one, get closure, and alleviate the crushing blow of a broken heart in your own personal way.

When my son, Jason, was twelve years old, his treasured friend, Chris Farley, died suddenly. To help himself through his grief, Jason created a beautiful, insightful pathway to healing that magically reappeared after he suddenly died at the age of thirty-five.

Jason was right there for me when I was thirty-three and diagnosed with multiple sclerosis. He was one of the most charismatic and popular guests at my annual Race to Erase MS gala. During his battle with an opioid addiction, he initiated a nonprofit organization we cofounded called Cure Addiction Now (CAN) to unearth the true source of addiction, treat it as the disease it really is, and permanently heal it.

It should have come as no surprise to me when, shortly after his death, when I’d tried every other avenue of recovering from the overwhelming grief I was suffering, he left behind a gift that guided me to the peace I’d been searching for and desperately needed, a gift I’m sharing in Just One More Day.
