Curtis Ellis served as senior policy adviser on Donald Trump’s 2016 presidential campaign; he was on the presidential transition team, and in the U.S. Department of Labor, and served as senior policy director for America First Policies. He founded the nonprofit American Jobs Alliance in 2011 promoting “Buy American and Hire American” policies. He was one of the strongest voices opposing America’s membership in the jobs-endangering Trans-Pacific Partnership trade agreement in 2015. Ellis was a true patriot and fervent crusader for the American worker. His activism and cogent thinking initiated the policies that brought manufacturing plants and jobs back to America. Mr. Ellis was an astute architect of economic nationalism. He was at the forefront of the “great awakening” to China’s trade abuse and economic warfare aimed at weakening our nation, and he dutifully spread the message through journalism, television, and other forums throughout his career.
Ellis worked in media, politics, and government at the local, state, national, and international levels. In the course of his career, he worked on political campaigns; served as media liaison for the New York State Senate Central Staff; served as communications director for a Democratic member of the House of Representatives on Capitol Hill; and toiled in the trenches of broadcast, print, and online media as a writer, producer, reporter, and political commentator.
Mr. Ellis regularly appeared on Fox, Newsmax, and other networks; previously wrote for CNN and MSNBC; and wrote for publications including the Financial Times, TIME magazine, Huffington Post, Breitbart, the Daily Caller, the American Conservative, and American Greatness. He produced stories for 60 Minutes, NPR, NBC, and HBO and was heard regularly on radio stations across the country. He was a member of the Writers Guild of America, East, an AFL-CIO affiliate.
