Chris Collins is an American politician and businessman who served as the United States Congressman for Western New York from 2013 until his resignation in 2019. Collins was elected Erie County (New York) Executive in 2007 and held that position for one four-year term.
Collins was the first member of Congress to endorse Donald J. Trump for president in 2016 and served on Trump’s presidential transition team.
Collins is a serial entrepreneur with a successful private sector career, which includes owning twenty-two different companies.
Collins is a graduate of NC State University with a BS degree in Mechanical Engineering and was honored to be inducted into the NC State Mechanical Engineering Hall of Fame. He is also a graduate of the University of Alabama at Birmingham with an MBA.
