Anne Elizabeth Basham

Anne Elizabeth Basham, CEO of Ascend Consulting DC, is a government affairs and grant acquisition executive, coalition builder, and global policy strategist dedicated to advancing bipartisan legislation. She has spoken before Congress, the United Nations, the C20 Global Summit, and various legislatures throughout the world. Named a Top Lobbyist by the National Institute for Lobbying and Ethics, Anne is a former presidential appointee who served in senior leadership at the US Department of Justice’s Office for Victims of Crime, helping to allocate more than $2 billion in federal funding. She is also the founder of the Interparliamentary Taskforce on Human Trafficking, uniting lawmakers from over thirty countries. She holds a master’s degree from the University of Virginia and began her career in the US Senate. Anne lives in the Washington, DC, area with her three children.
