Alex Swoyer

Alex Swoyer has a unique look at the crumbling of our nation’s justice system as a lawyer, member of the Supreme Court bar, and a legal affairs reporter for The Washington Times. She has had a seat inside the Supreme Court, federal courthouses, and halls of Congress during her more than a decade of experience covering national politics and Capitol Hill. She’s watched Trump’s high stake litigation unfold and has witnessed the impact his cases have had on various industries outside the legal world—including increasing the political divide and distrust in the media. After moving from Texas to Washington, DC, she covered then-candidate Trump’s primary and 2016 general election campaign for Breitbart News Network, winning exclusive interviews with the GOP frontrunner and his allies. More recently, Ms. Swoyer has interviewed some of his legal advisors while covering his court hearings for her podcast, Court Watch, available through The Washington Times, Apple Podcasts, and other streaming services. Ms. Swoyer, who has a Bachelor of Journalism from the University of Missouri-Columbia and a law degree from Ave Maria School of Law, joined The Washington Times as the paper’s legal affairs reporter, covering federal courts and judicial confirmations. She’s licensed to practice law in Texas. Ms. Swoyer has appeared on Fox News, BBC, HLN, CSPAN, Newsmax, SiriusXM, and One America as well as local TV and radio affiliate stations throughout the country. She also has public speaking experience as she served as Miss Southwest Florida during her time in law school.
