Rich DeVos (March 4, 1926–September 6, 2018) was an accomplished entrepreneur, philanthropist, author, public speaker, proud American, unabashed man of faith, husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather, who left an indelible mark on the world in his ninety-two years.
Rich co-founded Amway in 1959 and was company president until his retirement in 1993. He also served as senior chairman of the Orlando Magic, which his family purchased in 1991.
Rich was one of the world’s most successful entrepreneurs, author of five books, an inspirational and motivational speaker, a community and political leader, and, with his late wife Helen, a generous philanthropist. His legacy lives on through his family, the businesses he built, the people he inspired, the lives he touched, and the causes he supported.
