Chonda Pierce

Chonda Pierce is a stand-up comedian, Emmy-nominated television host, producer, screenwriter, and actress who has been making audiences laugh for more than three decades with her combination of fierce wit and Southern charm. She is the Recording Industry Association of America’s (RIAA) best-selling female comedian of all time and the author of numerous books, including Life Is Funny Until It’s Not, Chonda Pierce on Her Soapbox, and Laughing in the Dark. A founding member of the Christian Comedy Association, she also founded Branches Recovery Center, offering counseling and treatment for depression, anxiety, and addiction. Chonda lives in Tennessee.
